Telstra identified an opportunity to increase revenue by allowing users to purchase music and pay for MOG subscriptions with their mobile phone bill online. The objective of this project was to simplify purchasing for consumers and to generate more sales by making it easier to purchase.
BigPond provided the requirements and technical information required to implement the new billing system.
Mammoth met weekly with the client to update all stakeholders. The weekly meetings provided a forum for progress updates, revision of work in progress, as well as an opportunity for us to provide guidance to Telstra on billing systems and integration. Once development was complete, we performed a number of internal tests followed by formal user acceptance testing by the BigPond team to ensure software quality and integration was at the highest level.
Mammoth designed and built a software system that allowed the consumer to pay for their subscription and music via their mobile phone bill. We had to integrate this system with the existing payment software, the website and the user’s phone bill, along with the setup of subscription forms for the sign up process in order for customers to register to use this option.
Mobile Bill has been extremely successful becoming one of the most popular payment methods for both downloads and MOG subscriptions.
