As an ex-startup ourselves (a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away), we're very conscious of the struggles that startups face when trying to get off the ground. Brisbane is currently undergoing something of a renaissance in the startup space, with more and more support being offered to help drive the digital economy of Queensland through innovation.
At Mammoth we're getting more involved in supporting the startup space too - and one of our first steps will be mentoring at ilab’s Jumpstarters 2012 event this weekend.
Jumpstarters is a weekend-long festival of innovation, to be held October 12th – 14th 2012. Teams of between two to six individuals will compete to demonstrate a new product or service for our judging panel, with the winner to receive a support package worth $20,000 from ilab to help commercialise their product and jumpstart their business.
Mammoth's David Harrison will be attending the event on behalf of the company and is looking forward to provide whatever assistance possible to competitors!
